We Yearn for Healthy and Balanced Relationships
You deserve this! We all have the right to be in relationships where each person is mutually respected, boundaries are honoured, and where we feel safe, seen, heard and understood.
Codependency is prevalent in today’s society because most of us are placing our value and worth outside of ourselves; for example, we look for validation and acceptance on social media, in our personal and professional relationships, and how we’re received in social and work situations.
In the past, I have found seeking the approval of others a difficult place to be. I have wondered “Am I good enough?” or “Who am I if I am not accepted by someone outside of myself?” or “If they only knew the truth about me!” These were painful considerations. During these times, I was not aware of the most important truth and realization which is “I must accept Myself!” What someone else thinks of me is none of my business.
Can you relate? If you do, I can help you.
“The only person you can now or ever change is yourself. The only person that it is your business to control is yourself.” – Melody Beattie
Creating Healthy Relationships – Pink Sky Counselling
Located in South Surrey, BC, Canada, I offer Online/Virtual Sessions via Zoom and in Person sessions at competitive rates for your convenience, ease and safety.
My focus is to guide you in creating a life free from the past, engaging in healthy relationships and healing from any root causes of addictive behaviour.
I have been engaged in my personal work since 1990 and realize that I frequently see others struggling with anger management issues, trauma, conflict in relationships, anxiety, PTSD, abuse, as well as recurring negative behaviour patterns which lead to the same predictable outcomes. I have also seen individuals who feel overwhelmed by the demands of their day, at times feeling like they’re at a breaking point and also there are those who are unable to make decisions because they’re afraid of making a mistake.
Regardless of our life circumstances, a part of us still deeply desires to have ease and comfort in our relationships. We can do this by breaking through the old patterns of behaviour, as well as by developing the skills to manage our difficulties. In this way we create healthy relationships with ourselves and others.
I support my clients to bridge that gap, to learn the tools, skills and awareness needed to turn their lives around so they blossom.
Everyday people learn to seize new opportunities to create the change they want to see in their lives.
Make today that day for you!
